Many thanks to all of you who attended the first weekend of Caversham Arts Trail. We are pleased to say the trail was well-attended and made all the more enjoyable by the sunshine.
We will be opening again this Friday 18th May through until Sunday 20th May. All venues are open from 11am to 5pm. (Please note that venue 9 will not be open on Friday 18th May).

We have 8 new artists showing this year, as well as some new venues, and plenty of activities as well as some rather nice cake on sale in aid of our chosen charity TEAM Hannah.
Briefly, our new artists and their venues are:

Sophie Waite – Smoke fired ceramics – Venue 5 (this venue also has some good cake on sale)

With 32 Artists and Craftsmen all across Caversham this is your opportunity to catch up with what has been going on creatively in the town over the last 12 months.

As we begin to organise the third Caversham Arts Trail we are looking at improving your experience and would welcome your feedback. Please leave your responses here.
As exhibitors we loved meeting people who appreciated our art, talking techniques and opening our studios, homes and gardens for everyone to enjoy. We hope this has given you an insight into how many creative people live and work in Caversham. We are also pleased to share that we raised £187 for the King’s Meadow Baths campaign.
If you want to see more art, or missed the Caversham Arts Trail don’t despair as this weekend, 28th to 30th May is the Henley Arts Trail. There will be 23 venues in and around Henley, all with free admission. You can download the brochure here. The following artists from the Caversham Arts Trail are taking part: Lauren Denney – Venue 12, Louise Spiers and Nina O’Connell – Venue 20, Nicola Duncan, Nina Krauzewicz and Christine Brewster – Venue 1 and Anne Webster and Gloria Pitt -Venue 11.
The first weekend of the Caversham Arts trail was a great success. We are very much looking forward to opening again this coming Friday 13th May until Sunday 15th May from 11am to 5pm.
Caversham Arts Trail gives you the opportunity to visit local artists, designers and makers in their studios, homes and gardens. With over 30 artists participating this year there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.

MUG SHOTS: Do you have a favorite tea or coffee cup? You know… the one you choose over all others when the cupboard is full. Caversham Arts Trail artist, Matthew Keeler at Venue number 5, is looking for people to participate in his next project. Matthew wants to produce a series of small portraits of people with their favorite tea or coffee cup. These will be exhibited during next years Caversham Arts Trail. Anyone interested in taking part in the project, please contact Matthew for further details via emailme@matthewkeeler.co.uk.

We are pleased to announce that we will be collecting donations and raising awareness for the King’s Meadow Baths. The baths will be open from 11am to 5pm on 13th, 14th and 15th May where you will get to see the baths in all their glory as well as future plans. Check their website for more information on the campaign and how you can get involved in this local treasure.
Venue 12 will hold a collection of various artist work as well as a display from the King’s Meadow Baths and a display entitled Caversham 100 years on. The opening of venue 12 will take place at 10.30am on 7th May, please come along, see details here.

After a successful show at Kings Walk, Reading we are now busy preparing for our Arts Trail. The Caversham Arts Trail will take place across 15 venues in Caversham with 32 artists taking part. You are invited to visit 16 local artists and makers showing and selling their work over two weekends in May. There will be seven venues with a unique and varied collection of jewellery, paintings, ceramics, wood work, stained glass, weaving, textile art, stone sculpture, contemporary silver, handmade soaps, photography, decoupage furniture and drawings.
Step the trail in the spring sunshine between the hours of 11 am and 5 pm. Throughout the trail there will be the following demonstrations and events.
