In 2025, the Caversham Arts Trail opened its doors to 14 venues across Caversham and Emmer Green with 47 artists taking part on the weekends of 10th & 11th and 17th & 18th May. Venues were open between 11am-5pm, and we had an exciting new collaboration with Queen Anne’s School on the first weekend. We were delighted to showcase the work of their talented students and teachers alongside four CAT artists. Over the two weekends, the Trail exhibited new artwork from the original CAT members as well as 14 new artists and three new venues, including two beautiful jewellery makers, Molten Silver and Grant Forsyth, and five new painters: Carolyn Carter, Vibha Kapur, Nic Reid, Ron Moody and Yuliya Martynova. Three new original printmakers exhibited at The Caversham Print Club on Church Road, and new ceramicist Rhiane Szmidt joined the team at Queen Anne’s School. There were many genres as always, including woodwork, collage, stained glass, bookbinding, woven and hand-stitched textiles and wrought iron sculptures, to name a few!

CAT prides itself on the high quality of work exhibited with styles to suit all tastes and pockets, and no obligation to buy, just feel inspired by the work made by our artists. Visitors can cycle, walk or drive the Trail, taking advantage of refreshments along the way; home-made cakes are a speciality of the Trail! Last year, Caversham Arts Trail supported Launchpad Reading, ReadiFood, The Heights Primary School, Green Ways, British Heart Foundation and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
