Caversham Arts Trail is back for its ninth year!
Artists will be welcoming members of the public to view their work on weekends of 11th & 12th and 18th and 19th May. Admission is free and all venues are open from 11am–5pm.
This year the Trail will include 14 venues across Caversham and Emmer Green with 27 artists taking part. Many of the artists are familiar faces but there are many new participants including a new ceramic artist, local vintage shop and four new painters.
The Trail gives visitors the opportunity to meet the artists in their own homes and studios, learn about their techniques through demonstrations and buy work directly from them. Unlike many other arts trails, the Caversham Trail is special in that almost all of the venues are in the artists’ homes and gardens. Florence Gardening is joining us again this year: inspiring the green fingered amongst us!
There will be a huge variety of work on display including ceramics, painting, collage, stained glass, book binding, handmade chairs, woven textiles, printmaking, designer jewellery, sculpture, plant structures and plants – with something to suit all tastes and pockets!
Come and join us: inspiring creativity and a slice of homemade cake and a cup of tea what’s not to like!
Details of all artists can be found on the flyer – which has a map of the Trail to download. In the interests of your carbon footprint please note that much of the Trail is walkable and on local cycle routes.
Look out for our glossy printed brochure in local cafés and businesses and through your letterbox.
